"Can you see me?" the white haired boy asked you a hint of uncertianty in his voice, as though he was unsure you could really see him.
At a slight loss for words but knowing your eyes are not playing tricks on you, that he truly is standing in front of you, you nod. The boy's eyes light up with hope and with a slight smile he says, "Really? You can see me?"
You manage to find your voice and say, "Yes, I can see you."
The boy gasps slightly and you can just see tears forming in his eyes. But he is smiling as if he's never been happier than right now and you can't help but return the smile.
My first attempt at writing something remotly romantic. Hope I didn't botch it.
'He looks human, but there was something about him that told you he wasn't. But what were you to do? You were lost in this dumb forest and he was the only person who knew the way.
"Soo... You can actually see me?" he asked. He looked as though your answer would scare him. You look him full on in the face. You lose yourself in his eyes.
"Yes. I can definitely see you," you say slowly. A smile lights up his pale face. You can't help but smile along with him.
"C'mon you dolt," you say batting him playfully on the side of his head "Or we'll be stuck here lost forever."
"Who said that was a bad thing?" replies the white haired boy grinning
"Not me," you reply smiling slyly. You grin at each other. Then both of you burst into laughter.
There's no reason for it. Nothing funny had been said.
But you both continue to laugh clinging to each other for balance. Then you find yourself in his arms, and he finds you there as well. you stare at each other, studying each other's face.
"I think maybe I'll get lost in this forest again," you say softly
"I think I'll help you get lost," he says. You smile at him. He smiles back.
And the world held it's breath.
